Cymbalta (duloxetine): Is an antidepressant, which recently has been launched as a generic with lower costs to the public. You may like to try again. Gabapentin, a neurotrophic anticonvulsant, can be increased up to 3600 mg/ day. Both medications are used together or separate for the treatment of fibromyalgia. Discuss with your doctor to start another antidepressant if Cymbalta (duloxetine) is not an option.

Fibromyalgia treatme: It really depends on your preferences. As a functional medicine doctor, I treat fibromyalgia successfully often. I think many doctors would agree that there is no magic bullet cure for fibromyalgia. It is probably best treated with an integrative or functional medicine approach - nutrition changes, hormones, toxins, genetics, emotional issues, co-existing conditions, etc.
