ASAP: You should only be on vicodin until the tooth gets treated, which shouldn't be more than a few days. You can't have carpal tunnel surgery with an active infection. You should get off the vicodin as soon as possible because your body will develop tolerance and pain medications will not be as effective after your surgery.
