Not the key: Despite all the "pop" talk, diet is not the key to managing high LDL cholesterol. It's mostly genetic, and the decision as to whether to medicate should be made judiciously. Limit very-high cholesterol foods, and prepare for a welter of contradictory studies -- some very poor-quality -- about omega-3's, saturated fat, and so forth. Aerobic exercise will help you far more than food choices.
