A member asked:

Is there research being done to find a permanent cure to scoliosis without rods and screws?

We are always doing: We are always doing research all aspects of the field of Medicine. In office physicians and research centers together are looking at this. Unfortunately government interference with regulatory restrictions are interfering with physicians time to do both practice and research for medicine. Ask your legislators to stop this regulatory nonsense.

Yes: Yes, there is a continual attempt to find the underlying cause of scoliosis with the goal of curing some day without surgery. There is much evidence to suggest a genetic cause and as the human genome project of mapping out the genes continued we hope the cause will be found and treated. Thank you for your good question.
