Polycythemia: Elevated red blood cell parameters are concerning for polycythemia. Polycythemia can be reactive to another condition in the body (like chronically low oxygen) or without other associated medical conditions (polycythemia vera). Absolute monocytosis may be related. It has been noted in scientific literature as also seen in polycythemia vera.
