Thrombocytosis: This abnormally high level of platelets can predispose you to increased clotting tendency and, thus, I recommend that a hematologist be the specialist who advises and follows you as well as start treatment if he/she deems it advisable. As long as you're followed by a hematologist I'm confident that you'll get good care.
