You will be told what your ideal weight should be and how many calories you should consume daily depending upon your usual level of physical activity. It's important to know whether you are vegan or vegetarian. Vegans eschew ALL animal products. Getting sufficient protein, fat, B12 & iron is challenging. If you're a vegetarian, you can get most of these nutrients from dairy products and eggs. Women of childbearing age should take an iron supplement.
