Probably: If your shoes are too tight they may be bending your toes and cutting off blood supply which could cause numbness. Try some sensible properly fitting shoes and if it gets better in a day or two you have your answer!

The big squeeze.: It seems as though the tightness is causing sufficient enough compression to have an effect on nerve conduction, but not enough to cause tissue death or necrosis. To do that, your shoes will have to be a bit tighter.

Probably: Yes, it seems likely that the narrow shoe ware has caused a compression neuropathy of the digital nerves that supply that area although there are other potential causes as well. Don’t hesitate to be seen for it.
