You need to get: to a healthcare provider for proper examination and diagnosis. Nerve entrapment issues are sneaky and hard to diagnose sometimes. It may or my not have anything to do with your period. Or if you have anemia from severe bleeding, it can cause such symptoms. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.

If you are anxious-: -about it you could be hyperventilating. Breathe into a small paper bag & see if it helps. The numbness can also be around your mouth. Its due to breathing away CO2, which causes electrolyte imbalance and effects the nerve conditions & this causes the numbness. Especially if you are prone to anxiety.
