If no radiographs are available or not taken, the dentist or hygienist may supplement your visit with x-rays, in addition to a comprehensive oral examination complete with oral cancer screening and periodontal base line charting if warranted. A prophy plus fluoride treatment may also be performed .

Varies: No set time frame for an exam, cleaning, and radiographs. You can expect it to take anywhere from a half hour to an hour, but why don't you call the office you will be visiting and ask them?

Check-up: 15 minutes to an hour. Depends on the x-rays and tests that you need taken to understand your oral health status, time to discuss the findings, and whether or not a prophylaxis (professional cleaning) is being done at the same visit.
