Interview or Testing: If you meet with a mental health professional (i.e., therapist, counselor, psychologist) they can assess your symptoms through an interview. We consider certain behaviors to make the determination based on your answers to certain questions. There are also pencil and paper/electronic questionnaires that can help diagnosis depression. Some questionnaires are as short as 10 questions.
