Totally safe,however: I'm not sure why you are concerned that eating an orange a day might provide too much vitamin C. An orange has about 70 mg of Vit. C. While the recommended dose is 60 mg, there is no known toxic dose of Vit C. I sometimes give ill patients 50,000 mg of Vit C over 2 hours via IV and it is totally safe.
