Follow up: You need to follow up with your hand surgeon. You may have developed nerve entrapment again.

New or old injury: You could have some permanent nerve damage in the hand despite having had carpal tunnel surgery to release the oppression on the wrist nerves. Or, you may a new, unrelated injury of the thumb. I suggest you see a hand orthopedist to check this out.
