Yes: Sounds like a cervical cavity, at a minimum stained enamel or cementum. Could even be calculus. Impossible to tell without visualization, that's why it's important you call your dentist for an appointment.

Gum Line of Tooth!: Good afternoon; Terrific time to have a dentist. If you do- contact the office; virtual practice could be helpful. Or email DDS a picture of tooth. Better yet schedule an appointment so the patch/ chip around the bottom tooth can be diagnosed and treated.

Sounds familiar: May be tarter that has to be removed by Dentist as will damage gums/bone. May be cavity that requires treatment by Dentist. In either case can't be fixed by App. Sounds like you're overdue for a trip to your Dentist. Please call now.
