Late stage: Development of ascites is not a good sign and usually suggests decompensation of cirrhosis. The issue is not suitable for this forum and you should consult a liver specialist.

Know your options: If the cause of your cirrhosis can be identified and managed, it can often be partly reversed unless you've developed untreatable hepatocellular carcinoma as a complication. If you are a candidate for liver transplant, that's a hope. Even if there's hope, I'd urge you to do the things I'd do if I think my time was limited -- heal any broken relationships, cherish every minute, think spirituality.
