3 consultations: If there is decay it is obviously difficult to detect. On a crown margin? On a filling? Virgin tooth? How does the decay (or lack of it) affect the treatment plan in this quadrant? More information regarding your proposed care would go a long way in making an informed decision.

Dental school: Suggestion if possible, go to a dental school and have a faculty member evaluate your problem.There are a multitude of dental specialties at a school that would be able to help you.
