B12 can be low: in vegetarians of any sort. We get most of it from meat. Centuries ago our body metabolism was different and our vegetation more nutritious. If you take B12 be sure to use the sublingual type so you will get the benefits of it. The type you swallow is mostly destroyed in the gut. Peace and good health from a vegetarian.
