Two concerns..: First, an abscess typically needs to be opened and drained of its infectious contents - without this important step, healing is difficult and limited and often not successful. Second, I'm concerned that a Z-pack would not be a great choice for the bacteria that typically reside in the mouth and that typically occupy an abscess. More management is necessary.
