A member asked:

If i get infected with hiv on june and infected with hcv in november , would this give me false negative hiv test 6 months last exposure in december?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: See your doctor to get a HIV nucleic acid test. if the result is negative at more three months after exposure you would be essentially sure that you do not have HIV. Hep C infection will not give a false negative for the HIV test.
