Had diverticulitis in june and just had colonoscopy today. paper says i have erythematosus mucosa.in sigmoid. a biopsy was done. is this something that occurs when you get diverticulitis?

Not unexpected: to have inflammatory findings adjacent to previous diverticulitis. Other considerations are unlikely possibilities of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. Important thing is that there is no cancer.
