Reactive changes: The terminal ileum contains lymphoid aggregates / nodules as part of its normal makeup. When this part of the body reacts to something foreign, infectious or inflammatory, it reacts by making these lymphoid aggregates / nodules enlarge and show reactive features. Most of the time when the exposure ends, so do the reactive lymphoid aggregates / nodules.
