Incorrect: The crowns can be screw retained while you have both implant supported and natural teeth. If you were to lose all your remaining natural teeth and needed a full denture, the crowns would not be needed... attachments would be screwed into the implants to help support the denture. Two totally different scenarios, and a whole new prosthesis.

The very least: implant superstructures may be screw-retained or cement-retained. In some cases it is possible to combine fixed abutments and screwed abutments in one implant superstructure.

Many Variables: There are many different ways to make "teeth" on top of dental implants. Some use screws, some use adhesives, and some are combinations. There are far too many pros/cons and variations to discuss here. Find an experienced dentist you trust and have an in-depth conversation about what's best for your specific situation. Then, invest in what makes sense for you long-term. Proper Planning = Success.
