Hormonal Imbalance?: Greetings. Acne can unfortunately persist past the teen years and occur in adulthood. Hormonal changes can contribute to acne as well as cause irregular periods. If you are breastfeeding, this can cause irregular periods, too. Since you are having both acne and irregular periods, I recommend a visit to your doc for blood work.
