It's there..I think.: This has to do with an alteration of the normal flow of nerve signals from the skin to the brain. The mixed signals make it feel like something is on the skin when, in fact, nothing is. Often this phenomena is localized and temporary but it could be associated with other conditions. If this persists or has persisted for a while, it might be of value to have a neurologist make an assessment.
