Nerve/tendon: compression, usually due to ill-fittting shies or overuse tendonitis form exercise. I suggest a podiatry consultation.

Tendons: There are tendons to keep the toe straight. When there is an imbalance to tension of one or more tendon the toe may deviate from the normal position.
