You can ask but: You can ask but unlikely. I'd be more worried about surgeon losing concentration with awake patient. Tumor very very close to facial nerve. Risk of facial paralysis. You are safer doing the procedure under general anesthesia than you are driving to the hospital for the procedure. Best bet: Have the procedure done using the protocol that the surgeon is most comfortable with.
