Does the anesthesia from surgery screw with your head along with pain killers?

ANESTHESIA ; Memory: Usually not. You are usually awake and able to follow commands by the time you are in the recovery room. If too sedated from narcotic, it's effect can be reversed with a drug called narcan (naloxone).

Yes: Leftover anesthesia and pain medications can make you feel weird, see things and just feel like you are not there. The anesthesia should wear off in a few hours, however the pain medications will still have effects until you stop using/needing them. If its a big issue, i would discuss with your surgeon or doctor to try something else.
