Pleomorphic adenoma: All surgery carries risks. This particular surgery has extremely low mortality rate and low morbidity rate except for the risk of numbness. Although it is a benign tumor, some of the included cells have the risk of becoming malignant. Treatment is best done by a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
