Self harm: Would like to know more about what has been tried; here are some suggestions: 1) don't lose hope- self harm beh takes time and effort to change. 2) find a therapist trained in dialectal behavior therapy - again, takes a lot of time and effort, 3) learn to meditate and use when signs of negative emotion are coming on, 4) displace/replace self harming behavior with more adaptive behaviors. Be well.

Reevaluate problems : I'd find a psychiatrist who works with patients who cut & take another look at your problems. Naloxone blocks the pleasure response to cutting & there are many medicines for anxiety & depression that might help as well.

Good Evaluation: It's a very good sign that you are motivated to stop. Have you returned to see the therapist? If you feel that that therapist or method didn't work, then you need an evaluation by an alternative professional. It is not clear what combination of therapy and medication you might need. But it is highly likely that one will work, if you stick it out.
