Yes: With such conditions and addiction, a patient should see both his primary care doctor and a psychiatrist. If necessary, the doctors may refer him to an addiction specialist.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Best to discuss medication & substance abuse with your Psychiatrist. If uncomfortable with your Dr. consult another for a second opinion. Have a physical exam by a Dr. to determine if you have an illness. Consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy with ZOOM sessions.
