Yes: Glaucoma, when detected early, can be treated to avoid loss of vision and blindness in most patients. See a glaucoma specialist who can review many options (drops, lasers, stents, intraocular surgery if needed, pills by mouth) and review his intraocular eye pressure history, visual fields and optic nerve to be sure he truly has glaucoma.
