Usually: Treatment involves getting the pressure below the damage threshold, usually in the mid to lower teens. There is effective medication which will usually do this but laser and operative surgery generally can take care of those not responsive enough to the medication.. Maintain a close relationship with your ophthalmologist (you aren't seeing an optometrist, are you?).

Yes: You will most likely be able to be controlled medically. Your chances of not losing vision from glaucoma are very good. Make sure you are compliant with your medication.
