See ophthalmologist: You are young for this diagnosis. Closure of the angle requires immediate treatment, so your angles must have been partially open to prevent acute glaucoma. When the angle closes, the pressure elevates and the eye gets blurry and red. The pupil will be a mid dilation and not react to light. This needs treatment to prevent permanent damage and the treatment by an ophthalmologist should be quick

See Eye MD: With chronic angle closure glaucoma, the occurence of sudden or new unfamiliar pain should prompt you to seek medical attention right away. I'm surprised that you have not been treated by laser, or that you are not on medical treatment. Your sudden pain may indicate elevated intraocular pressure. Call your eye MD.
