Went to er w/ severe abdominal pain in right lower quadrant. ct negative. labs all good except lipase over 1500. any poss causes besides pancreatitis?

Pancreatitis : can't think of anything other then pancreatitis. There are few disorders that could cause lipase of 1500. Make sure you get galbladder US if was not done, surprised they sent you home.

Have had slightly elevated lipase levels twice over past 8 months (80 and then 61 - reference range to 60). Drink very rarely. Never had acute pancreatitis. Have recently had a normal ct scan. What would cause these abnormal levels?
