Fixed vs removable: Ceramic brackets are bonded to your teeth and use wires and elastics and springs to place forces on your teeth. Invisalign uses a series of removable aligners made of plastic that sequentially apply forces to move the teeth.

The difference is...: Ceramic braces are attached to your teeth. They are harder to clean but you don't have to worry about losing them. Invisalign is removable. This makes cleaning your teeth easier, but if you lose them or forget to put them in they will not work. So which is better partially depends on the patient's personally. Also ceramic braces can correct some conditions that invisalign can not.

Different results: Ceramic (or metal) braces are the gold standard, producing the best result in the shortest time. Clear aligners are less visible, but less effective. Please talk to a qualified Orthodontic Specialist about the choices available te resolve your malocclusion.

Approximately $700: The average cost of ceramic braces is approximately $3,800. The average cost of invisalign treatment is approximately $4,500. The primary difference between these two materials is their optical clarity and cosmetics.
