I had 2 courses of antibiotics to treat pneumonia 2 months ago. now i may have strep throat. is it safe to have antibiotics for another 5 days?

Yes: You only need antibiotics if it is verified strep throat. All bacterial pharyngitis will self-resolve, and antibiotics only cut symptoms for a day or so; we treat to avoid future complications from the strep. But yes, it should be safe to take antibiotics if needed.
