Usually works: In some parts of the country, and of the world, there is some resistance to azithromycin. In those cases, one can use penicillin, amoxicillin, cephalosporins, etc... For teens and adults the treatment can be a Z-pak, which contains 6 of the 250mg pills. For children, the dose is 12mg per kg each day (once a day) for 5 days. Larger doses of azithromycin may cause a lot of temporary stomach upset.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
