I have had colitis and diverticulitis and have been hospitalized 6 times now this am i have red in loose stool however i ate red sauce yesterday .could it be blood or the sauce.

It could be: either or both, especially if you have diarrhea. Have your doctor check stool for occult blood, which can tell if the red color is blood or not.
