Xanax (alprazolam) and alcohol: If you maintain alertness and are not groggy on Xanax (alprazolam), (alprazolam) you may be able to drink soon after, although Xanax (alprazolam) can add to the effect of alcohol. To be safe, wait three hours, and most of the Xanax (alprazolam) will have worn off by then. And remember, the chemical to he the most careful with is alcohol, which takes lives every day, so please be careful.
