Could get better: You should get a cone beam scan done to evaluate locations of the nerve and implant. Sometimes the symptoms are temporary and you can get back to normal. Other times removal of the implant and nerve surgery may be necessary. The most important thing here is to assess the current situation and make a decision from there.

Known Risk: But very rare. Not sure of exactly what damage occurred (infection, impingement, cut), so difficult to assess recovery. Your surgeon and possibly a neurologist should assess your condition and attempt the appropriate therapy.

See your surgeon: is a rarer complication of lower dental implant placement. See your surgeon for post-op evaluation and a proper parasthesia treatment as early as possible. The sooner rather than later for a better outcome. Good luck.

Question ?: If you have damage, see the Surgeon. Sometimes this can be helped by removing the implant if it is impinging on the nerve or the proximal space. Sometimes it is inflammation and can be resolved with time and medication. See the Oral Surgeon and get a CT scan to evaluate. It is a risk and occasionally happens, but most often is resolved. Good Luck.
