Surgical risks: All medical and dental procedures have some risk. In the hands of competent surgeons the risks are small. I would say the risk is less in the area of #26 than many other areas of the mouth. You should be confident with your treating doctor and comfortable having the procedure. Ask any pertinent questions before going ahead with this procedure. I wouldn't be overly concerned.
