FBC: A full blood count can detect anaemia and various other blood problems. Depending on your medical history, your dentist would like to rule out any systemic problems contributing to your oral health. Your best bet is to discuss this with your dentist.

Not yet, anyway: Get your cleaning done and be sure to get good detailed instructions on how to best clean your teeth. Make sure you are committed to following these daily cleaning recommendations. Get a follow-up check-up in 3 months to see how things have improved and to evaluate your need for cleanings -- every 3,4,6 months ??If bleeding does not improve see Dentist and discuss need for CBC. Good Luck.

Not necessary: There is no need for FBC before or after any scaling and root planing (deep teeth cleaning) or Dental prophylaxis (teeth cleaning). Most of the time the bleeding is not difficult to control even in patients who are taking anticoagulation and antiplatelet medications. Take care.
