Long-term changes: The best plan is not a temporary diet but long-term changes. Sugars & simple carbs from grains esp cause weight gain. I like dr. Fruits and veggies: fruits and veggies are great diet foods, low in calories and high in fiber. Also beans and whole grains should be added to the list for their fiber and many nutrients. Try to stay away from processed foods, because you get few nutrients or less nutrients compared to whole foods. Try to include all food groups in your diet and enjoy the foods you eat. ( just eat less, and portion control)
