Balance: 1/4 plate from protein, 1/4 plate from complex carbohydrates as beans, legumes, whole grains. 1/2 plate as fruit and vegetables. Try to get 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies a day. Try to use olive oil or unsaturated fats instead of saturated fats. Do not have more than 30% of your daily calories from fat.
