Achilles: When you sleep your foot relaxes and plantarflexes (your toes point down). This allows your Achilles to shorten and contract while you sleep. When you stand up the Achilles tendon has to lengthen again for your heels to touch the ground, which can cause pain if you are overly tight. Do lots of calf and hamstring stretching exercises throughout the day consistently for a while.
