variable: Your symptoms do suggest a nerve stretch injury. To be sure get examined by an ors. Nerve 'stretch' injuries can improve w/in weeks but sometimes take months!

see a neurologist: It could be pathology of peroneal nerve or sciatic nerve. Ncv/emg test would help.
