Belly fat: The "abs" are a group of muscles we all have. In most they are covered by a layer of fat and also lie over internal fat called the "omentum" . Both contribute to its shape. Although genetics plays a role, we can make them flat and visible by decreasing body fat. The best way to do this is with your diet. Exercise does little to give you a "six pack" but building muscle helps maintain weight.
