Depends...: If this was an isolated abscess a PCP could do the job depending on the location, size and the doctor's comfort. If very large it might need a surgeon's intervention.However, it sounds like you have had multiple episodes so I would think it is time to see a Dermatologist( skin doctor) for further recommendations. See your PCP first in order to get a the right advise and management for you.
