A member asked:

My daughter in law has abcess under tongue bottom of mouth. has come back 3 x. oral surgeon said surgery not help. what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Abscess: Infection. Probably from tooth or gums. The infection has to be treated physically to eliminate the infection, possibly with antibiotic coverage, possibly with tooth, bone, or soft tissue supportive surgery. Possibly with root canal treatment. If Oral Surgeon he's not directed you for supportive care, perhaps consultation with a different specialist Oral Surgeon would be advisable.
