It's possible: The design and shape really depends on which teeth are being moved and which teeth are missing. You would probably have to make in "interim" partial, one designed to be modified as your teeth move... give your orthodontist credit ! They'll figure out a way to get the job done, possibly in conjunction with your general dentist. All the best...

Clever: orthodontic Specialists are very well trained and experienced, and can provide you with a clever solution that will permit the necessary tooth/jaw movements while at the same time creating acceptable esthetics and function. See a Pro, an Ortodontist.

Likely not: Once teeth are shifting, partial will no longer fit. That is unless it is not the same jaw, then it might be adjusted as the teeth in the opposite jaw are shifting. Always best to optimally position the teeth before implant treatment. See a Prosthodontist for expert opinion and options. Good Luck.

Sure: It will require a bit of creativity on the part of the orthodontist and your partial may need to be modified.

Unlikely: the braces should be done before and the implants should be done last. There is no need to use a partial denture. Good luck.

Yes: It seems there is a misconception about what orthodontic treatment actually does for patients. Orthodontics aligns the arch of the Maxillary and Mandibular teeth. Before having implants placed, in an idea situation, the dental team (dentist, implant specialist, and orthodontist) will work together to maintain space and help you have a better predictable outcome of your case.

No: NO, most of the time the missing area are replaced with a bracketed extra tooth...example = missing front tooth. If you are missing multiple teeth in the partial and you are doing ortho it will not fit as they are moving the teeth around. I would have the missing spaces filled with fake teeth on the ortho wire if you are concerned with aesthetics as you are in treatment.

Braces + Partial?: Normally, once the orthodontic treatment begins and teeth begin moving, the partial denture will NOT fit any longer. That is ok. That means you are that much closer to implants and permanent tooth replacement. Many times, and orthodontist can use a "fake tooth" on the wire if the space is very visible.
